BRIGG CRICKETERS KEEN TO COMPLETE THEIR FIRST HOME MATCH OF THE SEASON

Cricket action at Brigg Recreation Ground between Brigg Town and Haxey 2nds - August 2019

Brigg Town Cricket Club members are hoping for good weather this weekend as they look to complete a home game for the first time this season.
Second-in-the-table Brigg host Haxey 2nds in Lincolnshire County Cricket League Division Three at the Recreation Ground on Saturday (May 25).
But despite Brigg being five weeks into their 2019 campaign, tomorrow sees only the second home game. And the first, against Lindum 2nds, had to be abandoned due to heavy rain.
Spectators are very welcome at The Rec tomorrow as Brigg take on their old rivals from the Isle of Axholme.
Our picture shows Brigg and Haxey playing last season when they were both in Division Four - before gaining promotion.
This Saturday, Broughton first teamers have a quarter-final home tie against Scunthorpe steelworks side Appleby-Frodingham 2nds in the Bob Welton Cup.
There's also cricket to watch in Hibaldstow where ground-sharing Scunthorpe Town 3rds host Horncastle in Division Four.

Hibaldstow are without a fixtue this Sunday in the North Lindsey League.
At the weekend they lost by four wickets; Hibaldstow 82 all out (Joe Taylor 20), Alkborough 83 for six.
