BRIGG PEOPLE ASKED TO SUPPORT MAJOR CANCER CHARITY FUNDRAISER

People from Brigg and district are being asked to support a major cancer charity fundraiser next weekend.
The Sister Blanchard Foundation will be holding a Summer Sparkle event at Forest Pines, Broughton, on Sunday, May 12, from 2pm to 5pm.
"Come and join us in the Eighteen 57 Restaurant," the organisers say. "Together we will beat cancer."
There will be a raffle, tombola, cakes, books, a £1 pink/purple stall, children's gifts and lots of other items on sale. Tea, coffee and other refreshments will be available.
Please note: Those attending by vehicle need to input their car registration number into the computer on the main desk as they enter Forest Pines to comply with the new parking system.
The hotel is now officially known as the DoubleTree by Hilton Broughton Forest Pines Hotel & Golf Resort.
Late last November another event was held at the hotel for Cancer Research in memory of the late Sister Brenda Blanchard who worked at Scunthorpe Hospital.
It was publicised through Brigg Blog and other outlets.
