People in Brigg & district are today eagerly awaiting the results of yesterday's 2019 elections, held to select people to serve on North Lincolnshire Council and also local town and parish authorities.
In line with previous elections over the years, North Lincolnshire Council, which oversees all the local elections, is counting votes in all the unitary wards first.
Once they are concluded, parishes and town councils will be dealt with.
Counting is taking place at a leisure centre in Scunthorpe, close to the Civic Centre.
Prior to the election a spokesman told us: "All the ballots will be counted at The Pods. North Lincolnshire Council elections will be counted first through the night from Thursday to Friday and then we’ll be counting the town and parish councils from 12 noon on the Friday."
Brigg Blog has made special arrangements with the electoral authority to receive unitary and town results for the Brigg and Broughton areas, including Ridge Ward, and will post them later today as soon as they are made known.
The Ridge Ward on North Lincolnshire Council includes Scawby and Hibaldstow. We will also be posting the results from Brigg & Wolds and Broughton & Appleby.
Locally, there will be results for Brigg Town Council and Broughton Town Council.
