APARTMENT AVAILABLE AT BRIGG COURT HOUSE MEWS

With thousands of people driving past the old courthouse in Brigg every day along the A18, and many more passing by on foot, this is a very high profile location on the edge of the town centre.
Brown & Co, now based in the Market Place, has a ‘for sale’ sign displayed on the Wrawby Street building, originally constructed during Queen Victoria’s reign.
A two-bed apartment is available at what's now called Court House Mews.
The old police station, to the right of our picture, was replaced in 1978 by the current facility on Barnard Avenue. The courthouse, to the left, lasted a lot longer in its legal role.
While working for the old Lincolnshire & South Humberside Times, we covered many cases that came before Brigg Magistrates in the 1980s. But summary justice continued to be dispensed for many years after we had moved on to other duties at the Scunthorpe Telegraph.
Latterly, the building has been tastefully converted to provide living accommodation.
There's an open day coming up if you want to view the accommodation available.
