As we walked down Bridge Street, Brigg, on Sunday afternoon, in warm sunshine, it could easily have been a late spring day, rather than early October.
Then we spied a reminder that Christmas is coming - a window sign advertising the festive club operating at Sherwood & Sons Cycle Shop, through which you can reserve gifts for December 25.
Dunham's Bakery, also in Bridge Street, is taking orders for Christmas hampers.
