BRIGG BLOG RAISES THE BAR

Brigg Blog got very excited when we headed through the bar area of the Angel Suite Lounge on our way to cover a routine committee meeting.
It was a Wednesday evening, with not a soul in sight, but there were beer pumps lining  the bar!
Normally, if the Angel Suite is being used for a function and the hirer has asked for a  bar, a local licensee comes in and sets up his own pumps for the draught drinks, the array  being removed soon after the event.
However, when we got there for this particular meeting, the row of pumps was still in situ.
On this topic, Brigg Town Council is  talking to someone closely connected with the licensed trade in our area to help out by providing occasional bar facilities, when required, for functions.
The reason is there's been quite a turnover of landlords in the town of late. 
Returning to our close encounter with the beer pumps, we didn't try pulling a half to see whether they were still fixed to barrels beneath. Just in case you were wondering!
