Brigg has suffered spells of torrential rain at times today (Sunday, August 10), apparently the remnants of Hurricane Bertha crossing the Atlantic Ocean. Some roads and gardens are awash and there's more on its way as we write this, soon after 5pm, with the wind picking up and the sky darkening.

Vicarage Motors in Wrawby flooded....
The water was over-flowing the kerb on the A18 - flowed down the slope leading to VM's entrance....
