BRIGG TO FEATURE ON BBC1 NEXT WEEK WITH BRIAN BLESSED

Brigg Blog follower Roy Rae informs us about a forthcoming and fascinating TV programme in which our town is expected to feature. It's about a famous actor who will be delving into his family history which includes an ancestor who was in Brigg during Victorian times.

Roy says: "I see in my Radio Times that the programme featuring Brian Blessed in Brigg is due to be transmitted on Thursday 14th  August at 9 p.m. on BBC  channel 1.

"You  may remember he was filmed in Market Place some months ago, looking for  traces of his ancestors."

Many of us in Brigg watched part one of this new series a couple of days ago, featuring actress Julie Walters. Very interesting. 

Brian caused quite a stir some months ago when he came to Brigg to film in the town centre for the programme. We were getting emails and text messages from townsfolk who had seen him.

We won't spoil the story for you by revealing the name, or occupation, of Brian's Victorian relative. Should be well worth watching. Don't miss it!  Put it on your TV timer.
