Please note that North Lincolnshire Council will be undertaking major roadworks on the A18 nar the Monument in Brigg tomorrow (Sunday November 3) and on Monday.
Coun Nigel Sherwood, Cabinet Member for Highways and Neighbourhoods at North Lincolnshire Council, rang us the other day to discuss various highway issues and during the conversation we pledged to issue a reminder to Brigg motorists today.
Drivers with a bit of local knowledge may be able to avoid the works by using the housing estate route along Woodbine Avenue, Glebe Road and Grammar School Road, although the number of parked cars on Glebe Road may cause understandable hold-ups at this point. Don't forget to slow down for the traffic humps. Thankfully, the traffic islands/bollards have now been removed - a very sensible move after the closure of the school.
