APPEAL FOR INFO ABOUT BRIGG FATAL RAILWAY ACCIDENT 1877

Brigg Blog followers are being asked to help with information about a fatal railway accident of the Victorian era. Ian Barker is researching his family history and knows his Great Grandfather Richard Elmhirst Duckering was killed as a result of a railway accident in Glandford Brigg on December 21, 1877. Mr Duckering was 64 and from Northorpe.
Brigg Blog has suggested that Ian tries various newspaper archives, including the old Hull Times.
But if you can help further, please email ian.barker35@googlemail.com
