BRIGG TRACTOR RUN WILL RAISE FUNDS FOR LINDSEY LODGE HOSPICE
An event that proves quite a spectacle in Brigg and the surrounding area is about to rev up for another year.
The Annual Tractor Run 2020 - organised by Brigg Young Farmers - will take place on Sunday, March 8.
(PLEASE NOTE THIS CHANGE OF DATE, LATER MADE BY THE ORGANISERS AFTER THEY WERE MADE AWARE OF MAJOR ROADWORKS IN BRIGG ON THE 15TH).
The usual departure point will be used - Ripon Farm Services, on Westrum Lane - with the cavalcade of farm vehicles leaving at 10am.
Drivers and passengers are paying a fee to take part, and proceeds will be donated to Lindsey Lodge Hospice, the local charity.
Tractors taking part include modern models and a good number that first took to local fields decades ago.
We intend to include the route of the run, taking in roads within the Brigg area, nearer the time.
Brigg Young Farmers' Club was formed in 1938 and holds meetings at Brigg Town Football Club's Hawthorns clubhouse.
Our picture shows some of the tractors on Wrawby Road after they returned to Brigg along the A18 in March 2019.
