COUNCILLORS TO CONSIDER SECOND SCHEME FOR NEW SIGNS AT HISTORIC BRIGG TOWN CENTRE HOSTELRY

During a meeting early next week, councillors are to consider an amended scheme proposing new signage at a Brigg town centre pub/restaurant within the Conservation Area.
North Lincolnshire Council planners rejected the initial application for the Lord Nelson Hotel (interior view above) submitted by owners The Old Mill Brewery, Snaith.
Now a new proposal for advertisement and listed building consent has been lodged and will be considered by Brigg Town Council's Planning & Environment Committee when it meets in the Angel Suite on Monday (June 25) from 6.45pm.
Brigg town councillors may, if they choose, make comments and recommendations to North Lincolnshire planners, who will make the final decision.
Brigg Town Council objected to the initial plans for new signs at the Nelson.
Monday's meeting is open to interested members of the public, and Brigg Blog will be there to report the discussions.
This being the first planning meeting since the Town Council's annual meeeting, members will need to elect and chairman  and vice-chairman for the coming months.
Coun Mike Storey is the current chairman.
