APPEAL TO BRIGG DOG OWNERS

An appeal has been made to dog owners in Brigg to act responsibly when exercising their pets.
A member of Brigg Town Cricket Club, which is now back using the Recreation Ground for its home games in the Lincolnshire County Cricket League, is asking dog walkers to try and keep their pets off the playng square, which is roped off between games.
"We, as a club, have spent a lot of money getting it up to standard to play at home for the first time in four years," he says.
"As you can appreciate, dogs scratting around on it really don't help. Also, please pick the dog poo up!"

N.F. ADDS: Many dog owners like to exercise their pets on the Rec, which they are very welcome to do as long as long as they clean up any mess. North Lincolnshire Council has provided two poo bins on the ground in which bags can be deposited. Players and spectators like to walk around the boundary during matches and do not expect to put their foot in it, so to speak!
