CATERING FOR FUTURE VISITORS TO THE BRIGG AREA & LOCALS

A national pub chain  is looking to offer improved facilities at one of its hostelries in the Brigg area which provides food, drink and accommodation.
An agent acting for Punch Taverns has told North Lincolnshire Council that it wants to invest in The Wheatsheaf at 15 Station Road, Hibaldstow.
Punch, which is now seeking planning  permission to erect a new fire exit and fire escape to the first floor of the village hostelry, says it owns the site and describes the Wheatsheaf as "a small but friendly establishment offering a small number of rooms to people working and visiting the area."
"Punch Taverns would like to strengthen this in the Hibaldstow area by offering improved facilities suited to safe socialising and provide accommodation to visitors to the area without them having to travel to nearby towns and villages," the agent, from Sheffield, has told planners.
North Lincolnshire Council is now considering the application.
