LUNCH OUTING AND GARDEN PARTY COMING UP FOR BRIGG GROUP


A long-established Brigg group has announced its list of meeting dates, speakers and outings for 2018.
The programme includes a return visit by a well-known clergyman and a trip to a well-known eatery, where lunch will be enjoyed.
St John's Brigg Mothers' Union meets on the third Tuesday of the month in the Church Hall, on Bigby Street, from 2pm.
The group held its annual meeting last month.
On February 20 there will be a members' meeting at which visitors are welcome.
March 20: Ginny DasGupta - 'Being a member of a Bengali family'.
April 17: The Rev Harry Smart, Scunthorpe Hospital Chaplain.
May 15: Jill Craig - 'Mormon Country Part Two'.
June 19: Outing to Caistor Lakes, with lunch.
July 17: Summer garden party at the home of Ken and Pam Braithwaite, Eastfield Road, Brigg.
August: No meeting.
September 18: Canon Michael Silley - 'The Memories of a Bishop's Chaplain'. The Rev Michael is a former Vicar of Brigg.
October 16: Overseas coffee afternoon and branch meeting, with raffle and bring & buy.
November 20: The Venerable Andrew Ballard - 'Saint Theresa of Lizleux'.
December 18: Christmas readings, prayers & carols - 'bring and share'.
