HISTORIC BRIGG PUB REOPENS WITH NEW BAR MANAGER

Many Brigg people later this week and particularly over the weekend will be paying their first visits to the town centre's Dying Gladiator pub since it reopened on Monday (August 10) following lockdown.
A number of changes have been made to comply with the anti-Coronavirus regulations.
Transparent screens divide bar staff from customers and are also evident between bench seating.
There's now a circular, clockwise flow operating within the premises; people go in through the main entrance and exit onto Bigby Street via the side door in the brick archway.
Footprint signs on the flooring remind customers that they need to go with the flow.
The ever-popular and sizeable beer garden has also reopened, with social distancing requirements.
Ahead of the reopening, Michelle Dunnion was appointed bar manager, and people are wishing her well in her new role.
Well-known in Brigg and to Glad regulars, Shelly is pictured here alongside landlord Eugene Irwin - socially distanced either side of the way in but (don't forget) no longer the way out while government-imposed regulations remain in force.
Looking down on mine hosts is the unique sculpture of the Roman gladiator who has seen many changes over the years from his lofty perch.
Brigg is the only town in the UK with a pub of this name - the 18th century building being grade two listed and in the heart of the Conservation Area.
