CHANGES TO BRIGG'S ANGEL LANDMARK NEARING COMPLETION

The landmark Angel building in Brigg town centre 2020 - formerly an historic hotel, now providing a community hub, offices, cafe, library and heritage centre

We expect to see the Angel complex in Brigg town centre reopening to the public by September 1.
Work has been under way for months to give the landmark building a new entrance off the Market Place, instead of having to pass through the ground floor's Cafe Courtyard.
Once the internal refurbishment is completed, the Angel's role as a community hub with library and heritage centre will continue.
The Angel Suite will still be available to hire for various events, but Brigg Town Council has given up the lease and has relocated offices within the building. Its email and telephone contact details remain unchanged.
The historic Angel Hotel closed in 1989 and the building was later acquired by Glanford Borough Council, being converted to mainly office use.
The mid-1990s saw the Town Council lease part of the Angel, and North Lincolnshire Council being created. It took over running the building when the Glanford authority was abolished by the government, together with Humberside County Council.
It remains to be seen whether the Angel sculpture returns to the frontage by the end of this month. Following damage sustained due to high winds many months ago, she was eventually removed and taken away for specialist restoration.
