LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION: NEW BRIGG DWELLING WILL BELONG TO WHICH STREET?

For decades there has been confusion over which street is which in an area of Brigg containing some of the town's original council houses built in the 1920s, with later additions.
Many delivery drivers and tradesmen fail to work out the layout of Woodbine Avenue, Central Square, East Parade, West Square and part of Glebe Road.
This is because houses facing each other are in different streets.
Social landlord Ongo now has permission to build a new dwelling on the site of former lock-up garages on what North Lincolnshire Council planners categorised as "land off East Parade."
The new property will be close to the last few homes in East Parade but will have an existing house in West Square on one side and Old School Close on the other. It will also be only a few yards from Glebe Road.
There are no facing properties in East Parade. It has always had successively numbered homes on only one side of the road.
So to which street should the new Ongo property be allocated?
Although East Parade might seem likely, the new property would then become the only one in the lengthy street that does not face east.

Our picture taken some months ago shows the site  with the concrete bases of the long-demolished garages still in place.
