BRIGG SITE BEING REVAMPED

Work is now  under way on revamping a prominent Brigg building which is close to the A18 and on the edge of the town centre.
These pictures show progress over the past few weeks and also (as a reminder) how the site used to look.
In 2016, A F Carpets, of Brigg, were granted planning permission to change the use of what was once the Trent Foods factory, off Ancholme Way. latterly occupied by a car sales business.
North Lincolnshire Council planners approved change of use from mixed warehouse, office and car sales to mixed retail, warehouse, offices and car sales, including partial demolition.

These pictures, taken a few weeks apart, show progress being made on the site off Ancholme Way, Brigg.
A F Carpets, on Bridge Street, also successfully applied in 2016 to amend "operational hours" at the Ancholme Way premises to  8am to 6pm, Monday to Saturday; and 10am to 4pm on Sunday and public holidays.
A council officer's report at the time stated: "The hours of delivery will take place during social hours of the day and delivery vehicles will utilise the existing access from the A18.
"Inevitably there will be an increase in activity at the site (arising from the increase in the number of retail units); however this is a defined town centre site where shopping uses are considered acceptable."
Many people in Brigg will be interested in seeing the completed job at the former "Pepper Factory" site in the coming weeks.
Ancholme Way and the new bridge over the River Ancholme were constructed in the early 1990s to divert through traffic which had previously passed along Bridge Street and through the town centre. This paved the way for pedestrianisation.
