Please also think about those from our town who gave their lives in the service of their country.
Their names can be seen on plaques affixed to our fine Monument war memorial, erected not long after the First World War.
On Sunday morning the usual parade will form up in, prior to a service at St John's Church.
The parade will then march through the town centre to the Monument, where the Last Post will be played and wreaths laid.
If you are going to the Monument, we advise you get there for 11.15am to obtain a good vantage point.

The 11th hour of the 11th Day of the 11th month.....
The Armitice was signed at 5am (French time) and came into effect at 11am (French time).
In the UK the time was 1 hour behind (GMT).
Both the Germans and the Allies used 'Daylight Saving Time' during different times of the year....and there were varying local time zones over the Western and Eastern Fronts.
The 11th hour refers to when the guns fell silent over the Western Front.....six hours after the Armitice was signed in a railway carriage.
The the stringent conditions of the Armitice agreements on Germany were enormous...the country was in severe debt, it's industrial based was shattered and unemployment was rife.
There was constant unrest with the emergence of extreme party-political groups ....communists and the far right, from which the Nazi party evolved.
There was no credible evidence, but ethnic populations became the focus of blame...elements of the disaffected population wanted to blame someone and News were often the target of racial hatred.
Ex corporal Hitler joined the Nazi party and eventually used the populist groundswell of racial hatred against ethnic groups in his power struggle.......
......history repeats itself....
It seems that one of the social effects during and after an economic recession is the emergence of extreme wings of political groups blaming foreigners for the cause of the recession; stealing jobs and the false belief the the indigenous people are somehow more superior and deserving....
