BRIGG FAST FOODIES KEEP THE TOWN TIDY

At a recent meeting of town councillors, Coun Carl Sherwood made an appeal for people to use the litter bins provided in Brigg town centre.

This morning - after a typical Saturday night - we took this photograph  in the Little Butchery, off Wrawby Street, and noted that people who’d finished their fast food takeaways had gone to some trouble to stack the cartons carefully inside the bin.

There was also just a solitary fag-end to be seen on the floor.

It was a similar story at other bins we observed on Sunday.

Is the message getting through? Or was it just a particularly quiet  Saturday night.
