North Lincolnshire Council has refused to grant planning permission to build a new bungalow in Brigg.
Planning permission to erect a detached bungalow was sought for land adjacent to 16 Bigby High Road.
In rejecting the application the council suggested the bungalow "would have a significant and adverse impact upon the character and appearance of the area and street scene."
People refused planning permission by a local authority have the right to appeal to central government to try and get the ruling overturned.
