SLIGHT RISE IN BRIGG CRIME BUT IT'S STILL AT A LOW LEVEL

Policing the streets of Brigg - in this case, Queen Street.
There has been a small rise in crime in Brigg - latest official figures show.
There were 44 crimes of all types reported during December, for which the "stats" have just been issued. This compares with 41 reported during November.
December's crimes included 13 cases of anti-social behaviour, 7 of shoplifting and 6 incidents of criminal damage/arson.
There were 4 crimes of various types "on or near" Hawthorn Avenue and 4 "on or near" Teal Close, on the Waters Edge estate.
However, December's 9 reported cases of violence/sexual offences in Brigg reflected a significant increase on the 5 during November.
These figures have been released by www.police.uk which generates them for all areas of the UK.
The police figures are for a one-mile radius from our town centre - explaining the inclusion of crimes just over the border, including the Waters Edge estate, which is in Broughton parish.
