NEW BRIGG SCHEME CAPTURES THE IMAGINATION OF CHILDREN AND PARENTS

Brigg Children's Centre on the corner between Grammar School Road and Colton Street
Brigg Blog's recent  posting about the forthcoming launch of the Imagination reading scheme helped publicise a very worthwhile project which was launched last Friday.
Coun Rob Waltham gave a reminder to fellow councillors at last Monday's meeting of the Town Council in the Angel Suite. And North Lincolnshire Council, on which he serves in the Cabinet, has played an even bigger part than us in circulating information so as family people as possible know about it.
Families with young children can sign up and receive a FREE book every month, to be read and enjoyed.
As Coun Rob explained during the Town Council meeting, it's a scheme that's spread far and wide, and involves famous singing star Dolly Parton.
Among those offering full support to the project is Brigg and Goole MP Andrew Percy, who sent out a Twitter message last Friday which said: "103 kids signed up this morning alone at Brigg for our Imagination Library scheme."
