Both sets of allotments in Brigg - pardon the pun! - are generally being kept in good order, Town Councillors heard at a meeting last night in the Angel Suite.
They received a written report from Redcombe Lane site allotment tenants' representative Peter Brock and a verbal report from Assistant Town Clerk Alison Hannath, who had been down to take a look at the Grammar School Road plots.
The overall view was that things were going pretty well, although there were questions about a couple of apparently unworked plots.
Coun Ann Eardley then raised the issue of bonfires being lit at the Redcombe Lane site. She was concerned that the smoke might blow into nearby houses to the detriment of residents.
Brigg Town Council manages both sets of allotments, which are in great demand. Brigg Blog followers wanting to find out more about the possibility of securing a plot should email enquiries@briggmarkettown.co.uk
