BRIGG STREET SIGN STILL IN NEED OF REPLACEMENT - PLEASE

It's some weeks since Brigg Blog reported on this damaged street sign in Springfield Road - the only one identifying this cul-de-sac to delivery people and the emergency services. Any chance our trio of Cabinet Councillors could have a word with the relevant official at North Lincolnshire Council and get a replacement installed for us? In this case, hope SPRINGS eternal.
Springfield Road and Springfield Rise - a cul-de-sac nearby - both share DN20 8 postcodes, which could cause confusion in an era when satnav is used by so many drivers looking to locate a particular spot they don't know.
It would be very unfortunate if a medic, on a call out, went to the wrong Springfield.
Hence the importance of the above street sign being righted.
Springfield Rise was a poor choice of  street name in the days of Glanford Borough Council and Humberside County Council (the highway authority).
Springfield Road dates back to the 1960s when Brigg Urban District Council and Lindsey County Council (Lincolnshire) were in charge.
Last night, when ordering a New Year's Eve take-away from Diya Spice, in Bigby Street, we identified the address as being a cul-de-sac off Yarborough Road, and the efficient delivery driver duly arrived at the door in quick time.
