BRIGG BLOG GIVEN SELF-IMPOSED FINE OVER PARKING STORY

About a week ago we reported on the help point in Brigg that was itself in need of help. We pledged to follow up our text-only story about the Old Courts Road car park with pictures to prove our point...and then got side-tracked. So we've imposed a parking (story) fine on ourselves. Sorry for the delay...

Talking about parking, Old Nige....Has anyone else noticed the lack of stick on the parking tickets?
While the adhesive backing strip, which on peels off, the reverse of the parking ticket, which displays the salient details, has a very waxy backing.
On a couple a occasions recently, I duly stuck the NLC ticket to the windscreen.....only to find that the important bit had become unstuck.
On returning to my car, while the adhesive backing was still stuck to the glass, I found paper ticket lying on the dash - fortunately the right-way up; on another occasion the paper section has settled in the well of the car - fortunately, I didn't get done, but the potential was there!
In my opinion the waxy backing has become too-waxy and the degree of stickability has been reduced.
Perhaps, it was a random roll of parking tickets that caused the problem, but it may still need checking to establish whether there is a general problem..
