CAFE PLANNED FOR BRIGG HERITAGE CENTRE

A refreshment facility could be available when the new Brigg Heritage Centre, proposed by North Lincolnshire Council for the Angel, gets established.
Writing in the latest issue of the Intouch with Brigg and Wolds newsletter, Coun Rob Waltham says it is hoped to have the first phase of the centre scheme open in May.
Then he adds: "We are presently looking at working with a local business to open a cafe in the Angel courtyard, as well as relocating the library to the Angel and the Citizen Advice outreach service."
Rob also highlights efforts being made towards greater use of the upstairs room at the Buttercross (above the tourist information centre). This is restricted by lack of access for people with mobility issues.
It's a lovely, lavish room - but too few Brigg folk have seen it. Something of a hidden gem.

Is that the cafe, Scribs?
It's a bit posh and formal looking...Will they do bacon butties?

I think it would be welcomed by many if the atrium was put to good public use.....sitting under the conservatory roof, surrounded by potted vines and enjoying a cream tea would be nice.
