Brigg Town Council is to receive an update on the arrangements being made to celebrate Her Majesty the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee on Bank Holiday Monday, June 4.
The progress report will be given by Coun Ben Nobbs, who is chairing the group overseeing a wide range of events to be held in the Market Place (pictured above) and at the Recreation Ground, off Wrawby Road (pictured below).
The update will be delivered during the February meeting of the Town Council, which is open to the public.
The meeting on Monday (Feb 27) starts at 7.30pm in the Angel Suite.
At the beginning the usual 15 minutes will be set aside for interested members of the public to go along and ask questions.
Also open to the public is a meeting of the Planning and Environment Committee, starting at 6.45pm in the Angel Suite. Applications listed for consideration are:
- Erect industrial unit and offices, land off Europa Way.
- Erect single-storey extension, 4 Old School Close.
- Replace extant planning permission (dated March 2009) to erect an extension to sales area, bulk store, cage marshalling area and the petrol filling station and associated car park alterations, Tesco Stores Ltd, Barnard Avenue.
