A stretch of the A1084 near Brigg Garden Centre, on the approaches to the town, should be considered for a lower speed limit, a Brigg town councillor has suggested.
North Lincolnshire Council is undertaking a review of speed limits and consulting town and parish councils across the district.
Coun Julian Kidd highlighted the number of pedestrians going to, and from, Brigg Garden Centre, Bigby High Road, and suggested the 60mph speed limit needed reconsidering.
However, he also felt the Town Council needed time to look at things in more depth. And this will now take place so an “informed response” can be drawn up.
Brigg Garden Centre is actually just over the border in West Lindsey, Lincolnshire.
Coun Jane Kitching felt town councillors should also consider the issue of two different speed limits currently being in place along Wrawby Road.
