NEW NURSERY AND CAFE PLANNED FOR BRIGG

A new nursery and cafe are planned for Brigg as part of the same development.
The intended location is currently vacant land to the north of Atherton Way - opposite Brigg Primary School and near the M180.
CLS Civil Engineering is seeking approval for a new two-storey building with office space, a children's nursery and a cafe, plus parking and landscaping.

The cafe, with adjoining kitchen, is earmarked for part of the ground floor - at one end of the building.
A statement submitted with the planning application says: "Although it is evident that there is no shortage of childcare facilities within Brigg, there will be the potential for a link between the business and the Primary School opposite."
The application site is described as a vacant parcel of land within an industrial and commercial area.

The site has "remained vacant for a number of years, despite various approvals."
Car parking for 50 vehicles is outlined in the application which is now being considered by North Lincolnshire Council, as the local planning authority. Provision is also being made for cycle storage.
Some new jobs will result but how many is not indicated at this early stage.
