BRIGG POPPY 10K 2019 TO SEE BIG TURNOUT OF RUNNERS AND SPECTATORS

The Brigg Poppy 10k Run and Military Challenge 2019 will draw many people to the town centre on Sunday, October 27.
Around 500 competitors are expected to be in action, with many spectators turning out to encourage them.
Those taking part in the Military Challenge will be carrying weighted packs around the course, and money will be raised for the Poppy Appeal.
Both sections will start from the town centre at 10am with runners heading towards Cadney and then returning to town.
Elwes Street and Cadney Road always make good vantage points to watch the race.
This year a Sunday morning temporary road closure will be in place along this stretch until 11.30am to make things easier for competitors.
Motorists wanting to travel between Cadney and Bigby Street, Brigg, during this period will need to detour via Howsham and Bigby High Road.
