PLAN FOR 25 NEW HOMES IN THE BRIGG AREA REFUSED

A development aimed at providing 25 new homes in the Brigg area has been refused planning permission by North Lincolnshire Council.
Outline approval for the dwellings, with access roads, open space and landscaping, was requested for land adjacent to The Willows, off Barton Road, Wrawby.
A statement submitted in support of the application said: "The proposal seeks to make a contribution towards affordable housing provision. 10% provision is necessary through Local Policy and this is provided through three dwellings on site."
However, in refusing the application, the planning authority concluded "the adverse environmental impacts outweigh the benefits of the proposal."
The council said the site was "outside of a defined settlement boundary."
Wrawby Parish Council had objected to this application.
Anyone refused permission by local planners can, if they wish, lodge an appeal against the decision.
