NEW BRIGG LINK ROAD: HAVE YOUR SAY TODAY

It's not only market day in Brigg today (Thursday, September 12) but the opening day of an important public consultation.
North Lincolnshire Council's Brigg & Wolds councillors have written to local residents, inviting them to go along and find out more about a new link road proposed to run from the A18 on Wrawby Road, behind the Springbank housing estate to the Atherton Way area.
This will tie in with plans to building new homes on what's currently agricultural land.
Input from members of the public about the new road is being welcomed. So here's an opportunity to have your say.
Pop along to the Buttercross, in the Market Place, today (Thursday) between 10am and 2pm. Or visit tomorrow (Friday, September 13) fom 3pm to 6pm.
Our Brigg and Wolds Ward councillors are Coun Rob Waltham, Coun Carl Sherwood and Coun Nigel Sherwood.
Back in the early 1970s, Brigg Blog recalls attended our first council public consultation regarding future development of the town.
It was held in premises adjoining Exchange Place that now form part of the Lord Nelson Hotel in the Market Place and included the allocation of land for future housing.
