BRIGG CHRISTMAS LIGHTS SWITCH-ON: HELP YOURSELF TO FREE MINCE PIE & DRINK AND HAVE YOUR PICTURE TAKEN TONIGHT


We are now counting down until the start of the biggest spectator event of the year in Brigg - the Christmas lights switch-on and Lions' festive fair, with a variety of stalls, tonight (Friday, December 1).

We have now been informed that one popular town centre venue will be offering free festive refreshments to interested shoppers, plus the opportunity to have your picture taken in a photo booth.

Brigg Christmas Lights Switch On is taking place at 5pm on Friday 1 December to mark the start of the festive period in the town. Brigg Tourist Information Centre (in the Buttercross) will be open until 8.30pm.
Why not call in and have a free photo in the photo booth?
You can even help yourself to a mince pie and drink while browsing the extensive book range. 

They will be offering 10 per cent off any books bought on the night.

All this is on offer at Brigg Tourist Information Centre.
If you are looking for a very unique Christmas gift for your loved ones, you could book a tandem skydive at Skydive Hibaldstow through the Tourist Information Centre.
Brigg Heritage Centre will launch its 1950s Christmas Exhibition on Friday 1 December along with craft activities, and children can see Santa is his grotto from 5.30pm to 8pm.
Craft activities are also taking place on 2, 9, 16 and 23 December from 10am to 2.30pm.
Children will be able to visit Santa on 2, 9, 16 and 23 December from 10.30am to 2.30pm.
Cllr Carl Sherwood (Brigg & Wolds), Cabinet member for Community Wellbeing, said: “The streets of Brigg will be bustling on Friday 1 December for the Christmas Lights Switch On event. Visitors will be able to see Brigg lit up with beautiful lights - marking the start of the festive period. There will also be a Christmas Craft Fair for visitors to browse and find some Christmas gifts.
“Brigg Tourist Information Centre will be opening late; make sure you pop in and see what fantastic gift ideas they have. You can even get your photo taken in the photo booth. Brigg Heritage Centre has lots of Christmas activities for children to take part in, in the run up to Christmas, as well as special visits from Santa."
