SCHEME TO IMPROVE BRIGG TOILETS

A scheme has been unveiled to improve toilet provision at a building within Brigg town centre.
An application has been submitted to North Lincolnshire Council, seeking funds for disabled toilet facilities at St John's Church Hall, on Bigby Street.
The total cost of the project is £23,000, with 10 per cent coming from fundraising.
North Lincolnshire Council will now decide whether to make a grant and, if so, how much to give the scheme from its Community Grant Fund Budget. The ceiling for payments is usually £15,000.
St John's Church Hall was extensively refurbished some months ago and officially opened by the then Town Mayor, Coun Ann Eardley, at a Saturday morning ceremony Brigg Blog attended.
Brigg Town Council helped by funding a new cooker for the kitchen.
The hall is used for a range of community events attended by members of the public.
Decisions on 18 current grant applications from across the district will be made shortly by Coun Carl Sherwood (Brigg & Wolds), North Lincolnshire Council's Cabinet Member for Community Wellbeing, pictured above.
