A farm in the Brigg area is looking to add an extra building.
Planning permission is being sought for a 63m long, steel-framed livestock structure.
West Lindsey District Council is being asked to approve the application at Brandy Wharf Piggery, on Waddingham Road, South Kelsey.
The site currently accomodates 600 breeding sows, together with "rearing and finishing of the progeny."
The proposed development will provide 1,000 finishing places for pigs.
The building will be located near existing ones on the eastern side of the farm.
The existing access off Waddingham Road will be used.
