NOVEMBER SNOW IN BRIGG

Overnight frost as experienced in Brigg last night  is somewhat unusual as early as November 5 and must have seen many motorists hunting out cans of de-icing spray.
The current cold snap set Brigg Blog thinking about snowfalls in Novembers past.

The last time significant snow we recall during the 11th month of the year was seven years ago - on November 29 and 30, 2010.
Some pictures we took back then are featured here.
There was also quite a bit of white stuff about on November 19/20, 1971.

Are we on course to beat that this year?
The weather forecasters seem to think not, although it may be colder than average for November and there will be a number of overnight frosts.

....other countries don't get so much weather as we do....I was in the Middle East once, serving Queen and Country and there was only Sun and more Sun...none of this surplus weather we get in this country!
