BRIGG SCHOOL LOOKING TO USE ANOTHER LOCATION

A Brigg school is looking to add a second location within the town.
Demeter House, on Bigby Street, occupies the former Preparatory School premises and is now seeking planning approval to use 39 Wrawby Street in addition.
The school, pictured above, has told North Lincolnshire Council planners that it wants to change the use of the upper floors  to "a non-residential institution."
A statement submitted in support of the application says the school is seeking to take over use of 39 Wrawby Street in order to provide a dedicated therapeutic space "as we are finding that more students are in need of this intervention and, whilst we are currently utilising spaces within the existing school grounds and buildings, it is generally recognised that it is better to have a dedicated space for therapeutic intervention to have a higher success rate.
"We anticipate that there would be a maximum of 6 staff members and 4-6 students."
The building is ideally situated close to Demeter House's current  site.
Planners are now considering the request for permission.
Demeter House School also operates on West Street, Scawby.
