HEATWAVE WEATHER SEES BRIGG IN BLOOM TO WELCOME SHOPPERS, PUB GOERS AND TOURISTS

Brigg town centre is looking colourful and attractive in the bright sunshine as the heatwave continues and British Flowers Week is underway.
We took these pictures about 8.30am today - before the temperature really began to climb.
Brigg in Bloom is a new initiative from our town council and has resulted in additional flower beds and planters, the most prominent being on and near the County Bridge.
For the benefit of British Flowers Week fans who may have found this post through social media, Brigg is a market town in North Lincolnshire, close to the M180 and with a Saturday train service.

But many shops, pubs and offices are also playing their part with hanging baskets near their entrances.
Cups & Cones - on Wrawby Street - can  expect rising demand for ice cream due to the super weather.
And it is peak time  for Brigg pub beer gardens with those beside the river firm favourites.
Try the White Hart and Nelthorpe Arms to see what we mean.
The message is: Pay Brigg a visit.
