BRIGG TOWN v SHEFFIELD UNITED IN LINE TO BE WELL SUPPORTED

Sports enthusiasts used to come to Brigg by train from South Yorkshire many years ago.
Chiefly this was for angling on the Ancholme. But now football fans are going to follow suit.
The Friends of the Line say they will be displaying - at Sheffield Midland station - details of the pre-season friendly between Brigg Town FC and a Sheffield United XI on  7th July.
This will be in partnership with Brigg FC.
The link below offers some of the pictures taken recently.
They Include  Cleethorpes, Brigg, Kirton In Lindsey, Gainsborough Central, Retford Low Level Worksop, Shireoaks, Kiveton Park & Woodhouse.
Many of them include the new Brigg Line posters and a canal walk from Shireoaks to Kiveton Park  -  recommend to anyone who likes walking.
Spokesman Paul Johnson says: "We will be displaying posters from the Chesterfield Canal Trust in the near future at Kiveton Park and Shireoaks station as well as some old pictures of Brigg & Kirton In Lindsey that Brigg resident and station adopter at Gainsborough Central (Phill Hewson) has kindly donated."
"We can confirm that after two weeks we have raised £125 towards the printing of the planned Brigg Line guide, we shall be working with our partners at the Gainsborough Rail & Bus Group to formulate a design.
