THINKING OUT OF THE BOX IN BRIGG

We observed someone - deep in conversation on a mobile phone -  nip inside the public (Telecom) call box outside the Steel Rooms in Brigg at the corner of Spring's Parade and the Market Place. He did so to get out of the rain.
But that set us wondering how many other people go into old-fashioned phone boxes to make calls on their mobiles? Not only can you keep dry but it's easier to have a conversation with some of the background noise blocked out. Such as that generated by passing cars, vans and lorries in our so-called pedestrianised town centre!
