We had a horrible nightmare about Brigg life in the future, in this age of ever-growing networking, Twittering, Facebooking and online shopping, through mobile phones, tablets and other gadgets.
Brigg folk won't go out for a drink any longer, they will follow progress in the pub through a webcam while they sit at home supping from bottles and cans; they won't go shopping, goods will be ordered online and delivered to the door; they won't go to the footy, but follow developments through live updates.
If that's a vision of how things will pan out, then we are delighted to be getting on in years and to have enjoyed life in the good old days before all this technology kicked in.
