BRIGG DEVELOPMENT PLANS WILL INTEREST MANY IN THE TOWN

The initial part of the planning process, Brigg Town Council, has raised no objections to two applications in which there will be plenty of interest.
The first is for change of use from auction rooms to a retail shop, with associated internal and external alterations, at the former Brown & Co premises, off Old Courts Road (pictured above by KEN HARRISON).
The second is to erect a single storey extension at Brigg Primary School, on Atherton Way.
Coun Penny Smith suggested no objections be raised to the auction room application, suggesting it should go ahead as soon as possible.
It is understood the school extension relates to extending nursery provision. And Coun Mel Oades, chairman of the Town Council's Planning and Environment Committee, told this week's meeting in the Angel Suite, that the authorities were trying to make the facility "reasonably sized."
Decisions on both these applications can be expected in the not too distant future from North Lincolnshire Council planners.
