CONCRETE SUPPORT FOR NEW SCHOOL PLAYGROUND IN BRIGG

Brigg Town Council  is 'in support' of an application to extend the playground at St Mary's Catholic Primary School, on Grammar School Road, and incorporate a French drain.
Coun Ann Eardley expressed some concern about where the water collected in the drain would end up.
Coun Mike Storey, chairman of the Town Council Planning & Environment Committee, added that the proposed work would be an improvement.

The committee also raised have no objections or adverse comments to make about a well-known local company's signage plans.
Thomas Bell and Sons Ltd, whose Country Store is based near the A1084 level crossing on Bigby Road, has applied to retain one sign and replace one with a tall forecourt sign.
North Lincolnshire Council planners will now decide whether to grant permission for both these applications.
