MONEY RAISED IN BRIGG TO HELP BATTLE PANCREATIC CANCER

FROM ANDREW MARKHAM, ZOE HALL & LESLEY WHITEHAND, PANCREATIC CANCER ACTION AND AWARENESS

Please through your column could we thank the people of Brigg for their support and generosity last Saturday at the November farmers' market.
Despite the bitterly cold day, we raised a total of £576.48.
More importantly, we  spoke to more people this time and we feel people are more aware of pancreatic cancer.
We did get a visit from Nic Dakin, Scunthorpe's MP, who is chairman of the Parliamentary Committee for Pancreatic Cancer.
He had the photo above taken with a couple of Unicorns  (Lesley and Zoe).
Residents of Ancholme Gardens gave £200 to Pancreatic Cancer Action.
Jean Thacker (2nd from right), ex-stewardess at Brigg Servicemens Club, lost her son Glen with the disease a few years ago.
"He was in my class at school," says Andrew, pictured below with residents.
