BRIGG SHOP COLOUR CHANGE APPROVED

North Lincolnshire Council gave listed building consent to change the paint colour of a shop front from green to black with white trim in Brigg town centre's conservation area.
The building at 63 Wrawby Street now houses The Tech Box but was used until recently by a jeweller's.
A North Lincolnshire Council planners' report said: "The Conservation Officer has been consulted and has no objection to the proposal. It is considered that the proposed colour scheme comprises of a traditional palette of colours appropriate for the listed building and conservation area."
Brigg Town Council supported the application.

Just to keep you bored, Nige, although we generally call black (and white) a colour, in physics black (and white) is not a recognised colour.
The blackest known substance is vantablack - it absorbs nearly 100 percent of radiation wavelengths from the spectrum of colours....it has an absence of colour.
Bored yet, Nige?

Alternatively, white reflects all the wavelengths of colour, so no colour is perceived.
However, manufactures of paint and wash-powder may add a blue pigment to white, which can deceptively confuse and the 'white' is seen brighter than pure white.....
