HOW TO CELEBRATE LINCOLNSHIRE DAY 2016 IN BRIGG

Today, October 1, is Lincolnshire Day - giving everyone in Brigg the opportunity to celebrate all that's best in our historic county, one of the largest in the UK and number one when it comes to agricultural produce, we suggest.
The CallConnect bus service throughout Lincolnshire has made all fares  just £1 today to mark the occasion.
You can buy a pint of locally brewed Tom Wood ale, hand-pulled in the Yarborough Hunt, on Bridge Street, or buy one of Tom's brews in bottles from Newell's, on Wrawby Street.
Munch your way through a pack or two of Piper's Crisps, from Elsham, and enjoy Lincolnshire Poacher Cheese, Lincolnshire Sausages (from any local butchers) and Lincolnshire Plum Bread made by a firm like Modens
Go to Brigg station and take a Saturday train along the former Manchester, Sheffield & Lincolnshire Railway mainline.
And lastly, spare a thought for those brave members of the Lincolnshire Regiment who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country in times of war.
