BRIGG CHURCH HALL BACK IN BUSINESS AFTER REFURB

REPORT AND PICTURES BY KEN HARRISON

Back in business... After several weeks of refurbishment, St John's Church Hall, on Bigby Street, Brigg, is again operational.
Underfloor heating has been installed and internal decor has been improved, while fitments have been upgraded.

The kitchen is now fully furnished with a new cooker, purchased from a donation by Brigg Town Council.
During the installation of the underfloor heating, several tonnes of brick rubble has had to be removed.
It is assumed that the previous building on the site had a cellar, which was used to deposit much of the demolition rubble.

The rubble, awaiting removal, now forms a rather quaint industrial 'dry-stone wall' along the hall's rear access.
