BRIGG TOWN EXIT LEAGUE CUP AFTER TAKING THE LEAD

Brigg Town Football Club suffered defeats in both games last night (Tuesday, October 4).
The Zebras' first team took the lead at Garforth with a 19th-minute goal from Scott Phillips. However, the Yorkshire side levelled late in the first half and went on to win 5-1.
Most of the scoring in this Northern Counties East League Cup second round tie came in the final third.
Garforth are members of the Premier Division, while Brigg are in Division One.
Brigg Town Development lost 8-1 to Louth Town in last night's Balcan Lighting Supplies Lincolnshire League Premier fixture at the EC Surfacing Stadium (Hawthorns).
Six of our area's Sunday sides feature in the Scunthorpe & District League's Challenge Cup second round draw.
Barnetby United will be at home to Hibaldstow in a local derby, Broughton WMC will host Winterton Rovers, while Wrawby Millers entertain Ashby FC.
Brigg team Black Bull will visit Mulligans, while FC Recoveries meet A-F Saints at Hibaldstow. Ties are to be played not later than October 23.

Can someone provide the score, scorers and team line-ups for the Brigg Town v Sheffield centenary friendly played during the 1964/65 season at the Hawthorns? A Brigg Blog follower is seeking information, having attended this game as a youngster.
